Misfolded are a melodic groove metal band from Prague, Czech Republic, featuring two female vocalists, both Jana's, combining various vocal techniques including screams, growls and clean vocals, in an unconventional way. Influenced by bands like Lamb of God, Jinjer or Between the Buried and Me, Misfolded are gaining popularity all over Europe thanks to their unique sound and live performance. Currently, the band is concentrating on finalizing new material for their second album which is due early 2019.

Misfolded started as a local hard-rock band in 2013. Jana Kopecka, Jana Oltova and Honza Zika founded the band with no real intention to play death metal but as the girls started to experiment with extreme vocal techniques, they have soon realized the potential of having two frontwomen in an extreme metal band and so the initial direction has been defined.

Current line-up:
Jana Oltová (vocals, production)
Jana Kopecká (vocals, graphic design)

Honza Zíka (guitars)
Michal Chvála (guitars)
Petr Mašek (bass)

Jakub Hřebíček (drums)

In 2014, Misfolded released their first record. It was a four-song  EP called "Isolated", featuring the single "At Night" that has been very successful in the Czech Ten Chart. The EP has been positively acclaimed. Motivated by its success, Misfolded started to work on new material right away and initiated the recording of  their debut full length album in 2015.

In 2016, "Restless Continuum" was released, featuring 11 songs in total including a bonus track  "Polka" inspired by a local Slavic dance. The album has been promoted all over Europe and received highly positive reviews.

"Czech newcomers MISFOLDED have not one, but two female vocalists – reason enough to give the band a listen and then be impressed, because the band’s music is brutally good."

"...the musicians do not simply trim their songs on catchiness, but oriental melodic arches as well as effective rhythms gradually enter my cerebral cortex little by little, in seemingly unnoticed style with every new turn."
